Requirements
- •5+ years in software or quality engineering including quality frameworks, platforms, or harnesses
- •Experience building agentic workflows beyond chat
- •In-depth knowledge of static analysis including custom lint rules and dependency rules
- •Experience designing pre-commit and CI flows with fast and slow checks
- •Proficiency in at least one of Swift, TypeScript, Rust, Go, or Java
- •Ability to write scripts and small systems quickly
- •Experience making teams self-serve with tools that others adopt and extend
- •Ability to judge 'good enough' to avoid overwhelming teams or agents
- •Strong collaboration skills with engineers, designers, and product teams
- •Ability to set own agenda, act proactively, and handle ambiguity and conflict
What You'll Do
- •Design, build, test, ship, and operate software products
- •Set up and lead the quality practice for the engineering team
- •Build the agentic harness, guides, and automated checks around coding agents
- •Teach engineers to extend and use the quality harness
- •Design guides and automated checks to steer coding agents before and after actions
- •Track and report on the effectiveness of quality checks
- •Implement fast feedback loops with deterministic checks at various stages (agent session, pre-commit, CI)
- •Study defect classes and design protections against defects
- •Partner with squads to find defects before release using AI-native approaches
- •Support quality practices across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, web, backend)
- •Enable engineers to build and tune their own quality checks
Nice to Have
- •Experience building LLM-as-judge checks or evaluation suites for AI product output
- •Experience writing architecture fitness functions for performance, security, or observability
- •Knowledge of web, desktop, or mobile test tools, especially iOS and Android
- •Experience working on full-cycle teams and operating what was built
