Requirements
- •Deep foundations in pure mathematics
- •Expertise in probability theory, measure theory, real and functional analysis, optimization, abstract algebra, and category theory
- •Comfortable with advanced mathematical topics such as Markov’s and Chebyshev’s inequalities, Hoeffding bounds, convergence theorems, Carathéodory extension theorem, Riesz representation theorem, Banach–Alaoglu theorem, Lax–Milgram theorem, stochastic approximation, Van Kampen’s theorem, Yoneda embedding, and representability in cohomology
- •Clear, metacognitive communication skills to articulate reasoning and proof strategies
- •PhD or current PostDoc experience in pure mathematics
What You'll Do
- •Engage with advanced topics in pure mathematics including probability theory, measure theory, real and functional analysis, optimization, abstract algebra, and category theory
- •Challenge AI systems with complex proofs
- •Evaluate mathematical reasoning for correctness and rigor
- •Identify subtle conceptual or logical failures in AI reasoning
- •Converse with AI models on theoretical problems
- •Construct and evaluate mathematical proofs
- •Analyze reasoning steps for validity
- •Articulate failure modes in AI reasoning
- •Collaborate with team to refine prompts, evaluation frameworks, and mathematical reasoning benchmarks
