Requirements
- •Fluency in British Sign Language
- •Expertise in Deaf culture, visual linguistics, BSL grammar and syntax, non-manual markers, fingerspelling, and regional variations
- •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting, Linguistics, or a related field is ideal
- •RID certification, teaching experience, or community interpreting projects are a plus
- •Clear, metacognitive communication skills
What You'll Do
- •Converse with the AI model on real-world BSL communication scenarios and theoretical questions in signed language linguistics
- •Verify linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness of the AI model
- •Capture reproducible error traces
- •Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- •Document every failure mode to improve model reasoning
