Requirements
- •Experience working inside a complex product, ideally B2B and API-driven
- •Experience shipping products with invisible complexity and ability to explain design thinking
- •Proficiency in research methods at sprint cadence including user testing and prototyping
- •Discipline in outcomes-over-outputs approach
- •Systems thinking to promote recurring interaction surfaces to design-system components
- •Experience influencing UX and facilitating team ceremonies
- •Strong fundamentals in design craft such as type, spacing, rhythm, and hierarchy
- •Comfort with builder craft tools like Cursor and Claude Code to produce working prototypes
What You'll Do
- •Designing complex product surfaces where data models constrain the interface
- •Co-designing data models with UI
- •Managing design quality in a dynamic environment
- •Conducting research methods at sprint cadence including user tests and prototyping
- •Locking down problems, assumptions, and success criteria before solutions
- •Promoting design patterns to system components
- •Influencing UX by engaging developers and stakeholders in usability sessions
- •Building and facilitating team ceremonies to integrate design into team context
- •Focusing on craft fundamentals such as type, spacing, rhythm, and hierarchy
- •Producing working prototypes as design output to close the gap between design and engineering
Nice to Have
- •Knowledge or interest in embedded financial products
- •Experience or interest in fintech, financial services, insurance, or benefits platforms
- •Experience designing for developer product experiences and embedded/integration-heavy products
