Requirements
- •Built large-scale data or backend products with experience in volume, latency, reliability, and cost considerations

- •Designed distributed systems with clear reasoning about throughput, failure modes, data flow, scalability, and operational tradeoffs
- •Built LLM-powered or agentic features in production with understanding of model differences and balancing capability against latency and cost
- •Worked autonomously on ambiguous problems, gathering requirements and turning incomplete context into forward motion
- •Communicated clearly across teams, explaining technical tradeoffs to engineers and non-engineers, giving direct feedback, and collaborating effectively
- •Worked in a fast-moving product environment comfortable with quick learning, incremental shipping, and changing direction based on evidence
What You'll Do
- •Improve how customers discover creators across 400M+ profiles and billions of media files including retrieval, filtering, ranking, relevance, speed, and product decisions
- •Build systems that generate and use embeddings from images, video, text, and audio at massive scale and make those signals useful in a real customer-facing search experience
- •Evaluate models and technologies pragmatically, understand tradeoffs around cost, latency, and quality, and move promising approaches from experiment to reliable production systems quickly
- •Own the system end to end including shaping the problem, gathering requirements, designing architecture, coding, releasing, measuring outcomes, and improving the system
Nice to Have
- •Experience with multimodal embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, ranking algorithms, model deployment, self-hosted models, or GPU infrastructure
- •Curiosity about the creator economy
