Requirements
- •Experience building large-scale data or backend products with attention to volume, latency, reliability, and cost
- •Experience shipping products from concept to production including scoping, architecture, implementation, release, measurement, and iteration
- •Experience designing distributed systems with understanding of throughput, failure modes, data flow, scalability, and operational tradeoffs
- •Experience building LLM-powered or agentic features in production with understanding of model capabilities, latency, and cost
- •Ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems by gathering requirements and turning incomplete context into progress
- •Clear communication skills across teams including explaining technical tradeoffs and collaborating effectively
- •Experience working in a fast-moving product environment with quick learning and incremental shipping
What You'll Do
- •Improve creator search across 400M+ profiles and billions of media files including retrieval, filtering, ranking, relevance, and speed
- •Build systems to generate and use embeddings from images, video, text, and audio at massive scale
- •Ship new search capabilities into production by evaluating models and technologies and moving promising approaches from experiment to production
- •Own the search system end to end including shaping the problem, gathering requirements, designing architecture, coding, releasing, measuring outcomes, and improving the system
Nice to Have
- •Experience with multimodal embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, ranking algorithms, model deployment, self-hosted models, or GPU infrastructure
- •Curiosity about the creator economy
