Requirements
- •Studying towards CIMA or ACCA
- •At least three years’ experience in a similar finance or management accounting role
- •Experience working in a busy finance team environment
- •Strong Excel skills, with confidence working with financial data, reconciliations, and reporting
- •Good commercial awareness and the ability to interpret financial information
- •A thorough, methodical, and logical approach to work
- •Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work to deadlines
- •The ability to analyse information, investigate issues, and solve problems
- •Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to the team
- •Able to take ownership of tasks and work independently, while knowing when to seek support or clarification
- •Honest, reliable, and discreet when handling confidential information
- •Self-motivated, proactive, and open to supporting improvements in finance processes
What You'll Do
- •Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reporting
- •Analyse and investigate variances, providing clear commentary and insight
- •Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- •Support the preparation and review of accruals and prepayments
- •Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- •Produce management reports that provide meaningful financial analysis for the business
- •Manage intercompany accounts and complete intercompany reconciliations
- •Prepare journals for posting to the general ledger
- •Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis, projects, and business requests as required
- •Take ownership of agreed activities and contribute to the achievement of business KPIs
- •Support improvements to finance processes, systems, and reporting outputs
