Requirements
- •Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in large scale, distributed applications environment on JVM based technologies
- •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
- •Strong Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems
- •Experience building RESTful services, API design and event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS)
- •Hands-on experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
- •Experience with on-call rotations, incident response, monitoring/alerting tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana)
- •Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, OpenStack or Azure
- •Excellent written communication skills
- •Proven ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability
- •Hands-on Java experience with strong fundamentals
- •Demonstrated proficiency working with AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
- •Experience scaling data tiers with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching technologies
- •Hands-on experience scaling production backend systems with horizontally-scalable, resilient and performing-under-load systems
- •Strong team collaborator and motivating influence
- •Demonstrated technical leadership by driving architectural decisions, leading cross-functional initiatives, and mentoring team members
What You'll Do
- •Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, technical design, estimations, sprint planning, coding, testing, deployments and on-call support
- •Own, operate and maintain team services in a distributed production environment
- •Design and implement real-time services with high throughput and low latency requirements
- •Work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and deliver simple, robust and scalable solutions
- •Express thoughts and ideas as detailed prose for collaboration
- •Scale a complex distributed platform with high availability, reliability, throughput, low latency, and media fidelity
- •Solve customer problems for the Voice channel
