Requirements
- •A hacker mindset — able to rapidly develop proof-of-concepts and working tools to get to a result, and comfortable with the inherent uncertainty and open-endedness of the work
- •Demonstrated use of AI tooling (LLMs, coding agents, automation) to accelerate your own engineering, with a strong instinct for what to automate and when
- •Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js and Python, with a broad programming background and exceptional problem-solving ability
- •Strong research, debugging, fuzzing, and reverse-engineering skills, including static, dynamic, and concolic analysis
- •Hands-on experience reversing JavaScript VMs, WASM, and heavily obfuscated or polymorphic code
- •A deep understanding of operating systems and computer networking concepts
- •Adept with tools such as Wireshark, Burp Suite, and similar for intercepting and debugging network traffic
- •Understanding of browser engines, browser fingerprinting, and antibot/anti-scraping mechanisms
- •Approach prioritization logically and with a measurement-backed strategy, and thrive in a collaborative environment
What You'll Do
- •Reverse-engineer the hardest antibot and fingerprinting systems on the web, across JS VMs, WASM, and polymorphic/obfuscated code
- •Build the JS function tracing, deobfuscation pipelines, and fingerprint-inspection tooling that turn manual reverse-engineering investigations into fast, repeatable, largely automated workflows
- •Use AI aggressively — LLMs, agents, and custom automation — to deobfuscate, classify, and diagnose detection surfaces, and to rapidly prototype and ship tooling that previously would have taken weeks
- •Build and maintain website intel pipelines with checkpointed history, so that when an antibot ships an update we diff against a known-good baseline instead of rediscovering the problem from scratch
- •Feed our AI reverse-engineering and ban-resolution systems the context, signals, and structured intelligence they need to autonomously resolve the majority of cases
- •Codify one-off reverse-engineering wins into durable capability — tools, rules, and pipelines usable by other engineers and by AI agents alike
- •Collaborate across engineering to fold your tooling into the custom browser and automation stack, and mentor others in AI-augmented reverse-engineering technique
Nice to Have
- •Experience with reverse-engineering tools like IDA, Ghidra, Frida, or Babel
- •Experience building tooling or pipelines that feed machine-learning or AI systems
- •Experience with C/C++ and Rust
- •Core contributions to Mozilla or Chromium projects
Benefits
- •Become part of a self-motivated, progressive, multi-cultural team
- •Have the freedom and flexibility to work from where you do your best work
- •Attend conferences and meet with team members from across the globe
- •Work with cutting-edge open source technologies and tools
